O governador João Azevedo e 223 prefeitos vão receber do Tribunal de Contas do Estado (TCE-PB) informações detalhadas acerca da situação em que se encontram 278 escolas estaduais e municipais instaladas na Paraíba.
Simultaneamente levantada por 90 auditores do TCE, nessa terça-feira (25), em 80 cidades, a lista contém problemas como fechamento de unidades escolares, laboratórios sem funcionamento e alimentos da merenda escolar sem condições de consumo.
Problemas encontrados
Resultante da Auditoria Coordenada na Educação/2023, o quadro foi apresentado pelo vice-presidente Fábio Nogueira na abertura da sessão plenária desta quarta-feira (26), em razão de viagem do presidente Nominando Diniz a Brasília.
Ele acentuou a repetição de parte dos problemas, em relação ao que já fora observado em 2022, quando da realização de trabalho idêntico.
Os auditores do TCE observaram o fechamento de 19 das 278 escolas visitadas, o não funcionamento de 49,57% dos equipamentos contidos em laboratórios de informática e a inadequação de 44,96% dos refeitórios escolares.
Também, a ocorrência de alimentos vencidos em 24 escolas, a não exposição em local visível do cardápio oferecido aos alunos de 38,13% delas e a inexistência de extintores, ou outro equipamento de combate a incêndios, em 61,15% dos casos.
O conselheiro Fábio Nogueira, baseado nos resultados preliminares da Auditoria Coordenada, observou que 56,7% das unidades escolares apresentaram-se em situação melhorada, se a comparação for feita com o quadro observado nas inspeções de 2022.
Quase 30% delas (29,9%) pioraram e 13,4% não apresentaram variação. As equipes de Auditoria reportaram ao TCE a necessidade de medidas urgentes em 51 desses estabelecimentos.
A operação
A Auditoria Operacional realizada na Paraíba integra os esforços para o aprimoramento do sistema educacional brasileiro nos quais se envolvem, ao mesmo tempo, 32 Tribunais de Contas do País, todos partícipes da “Operação Educação” capitaneada pela Associação dos Membros dos Tribunais de Contas do Brasil (Atricon).
O conselheiro Fábio Nogueira fez ver que esses cuidados já refletem resultados como os das melhoras aqui já registradas. As situações observadas pelos auditores irão compor, nacionalmente, cada processo de acompanhamento da gestão de governadores e prefeitos.
