A Polícia Civil da Paraíba tem buscado reforçar a segurança das escolas do estado também no âmbito virtual. Uma operação conjunta da Delegacia de Crimes Cibernéticos (DECC), o Grupo de Atuação Especial contra o Crime Organizado (GAECO) do Ministério Público da Paraíba e a Polícia Federal resultou nesta segunda-feira (24) na suspensão da rede social Volo.
Ao MaisPB, o delegado da Polícia Civil, João Ricardo, deu detalhes da operação. Segundo o agente do estado, a rede social estaria sendo usada para acolher usuários que foram banidos de outras plataformas, sendo conivente com crimes de ódio e mensagens falsas de ataques às escolas.
“É uma Operação que se iniciou no Ministério da Justiça, dentro da Operação Escola Segura. Eles verificaram essa rede social hospedada aqui no estado. Continuamos a investigação. Oficiamos todas as empresas do Brasil que são responsáveis pela manutenção no ar dessa rede social. Alguns perfis migraram para ela (rede social) e falar sobre a prática de crimes, basicamente ameaças em escolas. Passaram a difundir a ideia de que poderia proteger algo do tipo nessa rede social”, explicou.
A justiça determinou a suspensão da plataforma, que permanece no ar, mas aos poucos tem sofrido com quedas, uma vez que órgãos dos estados têm comunicado aos principais provedores sobre a ilicitude da rede.
A Volo não se pronunciou oficialmente sobre o assunto. Em seu site, a rede alega apenas compromisso com a liberdade de expressão e informa que foi criada por brasileiros no dia 12 de abril.
